Abstract: In this paper, the researchers described the synthesis of a new series of Coumarinyl 3–mercapto–1,2,4–triazole linked 1,2,3-triazole hybrids (5a-h). All of the newly synthesized hybrids were identified by spectral analyses using 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, CHN-analyzer and ESI-MS. The synthesized Coumarinyl 3–mercapto–1,2,4–triazole linked 1,2,3-triazole hybrids were investigated for their anticancer activity against HeLa, MCF-7, and A549 cancer cell lines by using the MTT assay. Anticancer activity results revealed that, the compound 5e has exhibited more potent anticancer potency against HeLa and MCF-7 with IC 50 values of 18.75 ± 0.82 µM and 17.53 ± 0.99 µM, when compared with doxorubicin as a standard drug. The remaining hybrids have displayed good to moderate activity against the tested cancer cell lines.
